Weekly Announcements

If you missed church last Sunday, here are the announcements from the bulletin of January 29



Don't forget that next Sunday is the first Sunday of the month. We will have one service at 9:00 am followed by our usual potluck brunch.


The Feast of the Presentation of our Lord (also known as Candlemas) is this Thursday. We will celebrate it with Eucharist at 7:00 pm.


The Bishop will visit St. John’s on Sunday, February 19 and do Confirmation and Reception for those desiring it.

If you are interested in being confirmed or received, Confirmation classes will be held in the Youth Room between the two Sunday services.


BINGO Is Coming! Make plans now to enjoy an afternoon of bingo here at St. John's on Sunday, February 12 from 2:30 to 4:40 pm. Cost is 1 can of food to be given to ECHO Food Bank. Each bingo sheet will be 10 cents. Refreshments will be served and prizes awarded.


Copies of Forward Day by Day are in the parish hall and the back of the church. Feel free to pick up a copy of this daily Bible study for yourself and a friend.


Don’t forget that there is a Vesper service with Eucharist Sunday evenings at 5:00 pm. This is not simply a repeat of the Sunday morning services but another, different, yet familiar forum for worship and exploration of the faith.
